Everything from the beautifully styled pod, extremely comfortable furniture (especially the bed aaahhh) the positioning and outlook of the pod. Everything has been so well thought out even down to the tiniest detail e.g. sleep mist, yoga mat, which made it even more special. We achieved what we came here for and that was pure relaxation. Loved ever minute of it, picture me horizontal with my finger gripped on the door way while my husband is pulling at my legs shouting at me to let go and me shouting back “I don’t want to leave”

Like all the other reviews, we were so happy with our stay at the Minnie pod. We're still talking about it now. The furnishings are tasteful, the layout is amazing, and the view stunning. We stayed during winter and it was comfortably warm with the central gas heater and solar heat coming through the front windows. The sunrises were amazing over the still dam and the night sky was luminous and breathtaking. The welcome hamper was delicious. We just loved everything about our stay and hope we can get back there soon..”

We stayed in the Minnie pod overlooking the dam and it was spectacular. The pod is very well insulated so you will not feel the cold at all in winter. The pod was beautifully decorated and well equipped and we really appreciated the welcome hamper when we arrived - such a nice touch. The location is private and relaxing. “Cannot recommend this place enough! It is in the perfect spot to explore the national parks as well as wineries and breweries. Waking up to the view of the trees is the best way to spend a weekend away. Communication with Tania was excellent and the lovely welcome basket was a great addition. We were so pleasantly surprised with our stay at Skating Goose within the hour of arrival we extended our stay! This is a secluded peaceful property that will leave you feeling refreshed when you leave. The minnipod has everything you need for 5 star luxury, a view from every room, a bath tub and a heater which will keep you nice and toastie for the colder weather. At night you can go outside to lounge chairs to have a cup of tea or wine to star gaze…. The stars are the brightest I have ever seen them in any country I’ve travelled to. I cannot rate Skating Goose highly enough. My Instagram post got 1045 views…. This place is a must! if you need some R&R from the real world..”

We spent three nights at Skating Goose Farm - Minnie and absolutely loved it. The accommodation is comfortable, and exceptionally well appointed, with everything one could need. We were thoroughly impressed by the provision of some homemade breakfast item that were all delicious. The location is idyllic, nestled amongst farmland paddocks and forest. Perfect for a restful escape. During our visit nature treated us to a spectacular thunderstorm that kept us entertained with lightning illuminating the entire valley.
Unfortunately this was to the detriment to the local power grid, and most in the area were without power the next day. Not a problem for SGF though, the off grid solar battery supply kept us cosy and thoroughly connected to the Twenty-First Century.

stay. We have truly enjoyed the stillness and beauty of your country side retreat.
It has been the perfect antidote allowing us to stop, unwind and relax. listening to the birds and sounds of nature have made us feel calm and reconnected. Thank you for your hospitality and the welcome hamper, the sourdough bread was a homely and beautiful touch we loved. A slice of luxurious paradise!! We’ll be back!!
